Today we look at two accounts of miracles in Acts 9. First, Peter heals a paralyzed man, then raises a woman from the dead. Why is it that miracles seemed to happen more often in those days? Why don't we see that sort of thing in our lives today? Jesus said that if we ask anything in his name, he would do it. So how come when we ask, it seems like nothing happens? Join us as we look at this big question.

Today, in Acts 9:19-31, we see the first days of Saul's new faith. He plugs into a group of believers, begins preaching, and runs into trouble. Ironically, the former persecutor becomes the persecuted, as the Jews plot to kill him. But the community of believers steps in to get him out of town. Then he goes to Jerusalem for what must have seemed like an instant replay, as the Jews again plot to kill him and the community of believers gets him to safety. Join us as we dig into a couple of important lessons in this passage.

Today, in Acts 9:1-19, as we look at the conversion of Saul, the persecutor of the early church, we run into a controversial topic - the nature of salvation. How does it work? What part does God play? What part do we play? How does it all work together? We'll also look at a question that is important to all believers - once we're saved, can we lose our salvation? Join us for the service!

This week, as Steve continues, we see Simon, a supposed holy man, completely misunderstand the gospel message, and we'll meet a high-level authority of the Ethiopian royal court, who accepts the gospel without reservation.
